We ventured into the exciting potential of the colored pencil. I presented methods derived from my years as a major market illustrator for these Advanced Studios Drawing students.  First a detailed draft. Second a well rendered and defined composition that further expresses the theme in mind.

 Of course the chairoscoro-method with compressed charcoal often yields many sensitive self-portraits with its endless additive-subtractive possibilities.

 On warm dry days we go outdoors to study and draw various forms of linear perspectives.
