Over the decades I have drawn for money. That is to say I have been a major market illustrator using my basic love and devotion to drawing as the basis of serving my clients. I crafted a range of impressive distinct styles and took direction from my clients.  I tend to teach drawing in a workshop and project based thesis derived from those years of successful drawing /earning practices.

Of course I still showcase my works as fine art in galleries for curators, collectors and art lovers' appreciation.

When I was an undergrad at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago the curriculum was very anti commercial applications so I secretly grew my illustrative styles and freelance client base.  The earnings were how I paid tuition since I was never granted much financial aid.

This drawing was done in the early 1980s for Fantasy Life Style World.

"My client history included Playboy Magazine, WGN Courtroom News, Fantasy Lifestyle World, The Paris Metro and others."
